Indonesia, North sulawesi and notrh molucca 2023
Dieses Jahr im Frühjahr waren wir wieder in Indonesien, dieses mal im Norden von Sulawesi und den Nord Molukken.
Von Zürich sind wir nach Manado über Singapur geflogen. Die erste Etappe war die Insel Lembeh, dort sind wir zum Tauchen, sogenantes "Muck Diving" (Schlamm oder Sandboden Tauchen) gegangen und blieben 4 Nächte. Die Lembeh Straße ist bekannt für das Tauchen auf sandigem Boden, hier leben Tiere die sich den Gegebenheiten angepasst haben. Die Art und Weise wie sie sich tarnen ist sehr faszinierend.
Weiter ging es auf die Hauptinsel Sulawesi, dort haben wir im Nationalpark Tangkoko Dschungel Wanderungen unternommen. Hier leben viele endemische Tierarten.
Von Tangkoko sind wir mit dem Auto ca. 450km nach Gorontalo gefahren (Es dauerte 13 Stunden). In Gorontalo wollten wir unbedingt die Walhaie sehen. Wir hatten diesbezüglich auch Glück gehabt und sind mit ihnen geschorchelt und getaucht. Die Walhaie (Wir hatten 4 gesichtet) waren noch Jungtiere, ihre Größe betrug ca. 4-6m. Sie in der Natur zu erleben war eine unglaubliche Erfahrung.
Die letzte Etappe war die kleine Insel Metita, südlich der Insel Morotai im Norden der Molukken. Hier blieben wir 1 Woche lang und sind natürlich auch geschnorchelt und getaucht.
Insgesamt waren wir über 3 Wochen lang unterwegs. Die Erlebnisse waren sehr beeindruckend.
Hier nun ein paar Eindrücke sowohl Über- als auch Unterwasser.
This spring we were in Indonesia again, this time in the northern part of Sulawesi and the North Moluccas.
We flew from Zurich to Manado via Singapore. The first stop was the island of Lembeh where we went diving, so-called "muck diving" and stayed there for 4 nights. The Lembeh Strait is well known for the diving on sandy ground. The animals living here have adapted to the sandy conditions over the years. The way how they camouflage is very fascinating.
After Lembeh we went back to the main island of Sulawesi. Here we went to the Tangkoko National Park and did some jungle trekking. In this region, there are some animals that are endemic.
From Tangkoko we drove about 450km to Gorontalo by car (It took 13 hrs). In Gorontalo we wanted to spot the whale sharks. Luckily we had the chance to spot 4 of them. They were still juvenile, their size was round about 4-6m. We snorkelled and dived with them, the experience we had was really incredible.
The last stop was the small island of Metita, south of the island of Morotai, North Moluccas. We stayed here for about 1 week and of course we snorkelled and dived.
Altogether we were on the road for more than 3 weeks. The experiences we had were very impressive.
